Get in touch with your creative four year old self. Join herbalist, artist and wildcrafter Jess Webb, for a hands-on natural dyeing workshop. learn how the natural dye process works. Learn how to prepare fabric with a mordant. Jess will demonstrate how to make different types of dye baths using a variety of plants, garden scraps and cochineal bugs. We will dye with cochineal in class and you will go home with the knowledge to experiment with many materials. We will use upcycled fabrics of cotton, rayon, wool, or silk, depending on what is available.
